After you've seen the Kentucky Center for the Arts A Little Off Center series performance,
The Very Worst of Varla Jean Merman, get out your drag and stop by 21c
for a scandalous soiree featuring host Louisville-based performance artiste host
Dementia.
Varla Jean Merman returns to the Kentucky Center for the Arts Bomhard Theater for
another great dollop of campy, kitschy, crazy hilarity. Varla Jean looks like Rita
Hayworth, sings like Julie Andrews, and vamps like Mae West, the Los Angeles Times
says that Varla "displays the dazzling force of a cyclone touching down in
a sequin factory" – to put it simply, he's quite a guy.
Tickets for the performance are available through the Kentucky Center, the show starts at 8pm, join us afterwards
at 21c for light hors d'oeuvres, cash bar, and the spectacle of Dementia and her
cast of characters.
